Blessings of God on a Black Man in America

Blessings of God on a Black Man in America is based on real-life experiences. Sometimes, people are born into a family that is dysfunctional, with anger issues, and bad experiences which they pass onto family members and friends. In the beginning, I had anger, fear, anxiety, nervousness, and loneliness. The book also covers hard times early in my life, how God moved in all areas of my life and gave me many victories during my seventy years on this planet. The events of my past life and injuries from the military could have taken me down to a path of drugs and alcohol; but by reading the Word of God, it helped me through the pain and injuries of my life. Satan wanted to take me out many times, but God was watching over me all the time.

The eyes of the Lord are in every place, watching the evil and the good. (Proverbs 15:3)

I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you. (Psalm 32:8)

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

(1 Peter 5:7)

This book shows how I need to decide which kingdom I will serve. God's kingdom or Satan's kingdom, and I am in the middle. I have decided in my mind who I would serve—God's kingdom. The Bible states that I should love my enemies and do good to anyone who treat me wrong, rather than feel anger, fear, anxiety, nervousness, and loneliness. The Bible states that I should have joy through trails and tribulations. From now on and in the future, I will keep my mind on the kingdom of God and not this world, stay in love and not fear.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. (Romans 12:2)

My life would have been very different if God did not put great people in my life (they are listed in this book). They helped me through the difficulties of life. It is awesome to have people who are not my blood family make a great impact on my life. I decided to cast all my cares on the Lord. I have limited time on this planet to accomplish what God wants me to do for him, so I will serve him all my days.

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. (John 14:13–14)
