Manzanita Files: The Fisherman

Sherry Ortiz, a highly capable, decorated police sergeant, was looking for a new start for herself and her son, Sam. She thought she had found the perfect place to serve and protect when a former employer became chief in the little mining town where she grew up. He had won the chief of police position and begged her to help him out in suppressing the drug problems. There she was, surrounded by dear old friends in a wonderful climate, with shivers running down her spine as she found out within only a couple days that it looked like she had made a huge mistake. The murder of a police sergeant, a disappearing chief, some suspicious officers, an intermittent supply of drugs, and death make her world appear to crumble as it endangers those she serves and cares for.
