Pamela the Wildcat
The book Pamela the Wildcat: A Book About Biting is about a little girl who loved to explore her world through taste. She tasted everything. Unfortunately, during her explorations, she accidentally bit other children and any object that was in her path. She tried her teeth on shelves, wooden blocks, and anything she could get her hands on.
One day, she crawled to an unfamiliar area and discovered all sorts of teething rings. She chewed and chewed these rings until they satisfied her desire to bite. After her discovery, she never bit another child again.
The point of the story is that if we, as parents and caregivers, ensure the availability of proper materials to meet our children's developmental milestones, many annoying issues, such as biting, can be alleviated.
