Stories to Make You Smile and Giggle
I have so many more short stories that children will be amazed at their smiles and giggles!
This book includes:
"My Secret Hiding Place" I had to find a place to hide to keep me from hearing my parents yelling at each other constantly. I found a spot under my bed, which truly helped me until I was found.
"The Ring" Joey found a ring that made him believe in all the positive things he did. How? Joey would turn his newfound ring on his finger, and all things would luckily occur.
"Glenn" This is about how a child kind of makes his parents believe that he knows exactly what he experiences in his daily life, regardless of his parents trying to get him back to his childhood.
"A Brother for Glenn" Glenn notices that his mom's belly is getting bigger and bigger as time passes. They finally told him that he was going to be a brother. (He was so happy that he was going to be a brother!) But Glenn discovers after nine months that he was going to have a sister. He, at first, was disappointed but truly came to love his little sister.
"A Is for Aardvark, C Is for Charlie" Charlie was a really overweight kid. Friends made fun of him, and he was always aware of his big belly. Charlie was chosen by his teacher to be a part of his school play. His voice was extremely beautiful, and he surprised all his classmates. His friend Nora got around in her wheelchair, and Nora and friends helped Charlie to accept himself.
"An Unspoken Hero" Growing up with my friends, we were waiting around for our prize Philly, Mindy-Blue, to give birth. All of a sudden, there was a thunder tornado by the pond. He wanted to catch the biggest tadpole, so he stayed there until he was forced to come back to the barn. The lightning was so bad that it struck the hayloft door, hitting Jake so badly. We need an unspoken hero to resolve things that are happening!
"Roots" As a child, I loved my neighborhood, and as times changed, the inner city got worse. I didn't want to be there any longer. Our new place was awesome. Papa bought a lovely home, which we admired. The area started to change like the inner city; the roots have outgrown their pots!
"Decision" As a child, I was given info to what I should be when I grew up. My mom wanted me to be a priest even though I had a loving friendship with my then girlfriend Darcy. It was difficult, but I headed to the seminary on the bus until I realized that Darcy was my life. She wanted me so and wanted me to change my mind. I did!
